LANDSCAPE DESIGNER TECHNICIAN
The day to day:
- Teamwork is your jam – you’re right in the mix with landscape architects, designers, and the whole landscape crew.
- You’re the collaboration guru, working with CTQ’s diverse teams on all sorts of projects.
- Landscape design is your thing – from cool illustrations to nailing down the nitty-gritty details on construction drawings and specs.
- Making things look awesome is in your wheelhouse – visualizations and graphics are your secret weapons.
- Cost estimating is your puzzle – figuring out the dollars and cents of a project.
- You’re the master of getting everything ready for a project – from contract documents to tender prep.
- When a project comes to life, you’re there – from inspection to construction management, you’re in the trenches.
- Being part of the office vibe is important to you – whether it’s joining in on activities, pitching in on initiatives, or grabbing every learning opportunity.
What we’re looking for:
- Diploma as a landscape architectural technologist or related field.
- Eligible to be registered with BCSLA.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, and/or 3D modeling skills.
- You thrive in multidiscipline environments and have a passion for sustainability.
- Valid BC driver’s license.
Compensation Range: $53,000 – $70,000

LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT
The day to day:
- You’re the middle person between the seasoned pros and the newbies – working hand in hand with junior and senior landscape architects, designers, and technologists.
- Your playground is wide, covering everything from master planning to urban design in the world of landscape architecture.
- Putting your creativity on display, you make sure the client, public, and project stakeholders get the big picture with your detailed design work and snazzy presentations.
- You’re not just about pretty pictures – you can break down complex designs and share your thoughts in a way everyone can understand.
- Your writing skills are on point – from reports to proposals, you’ve got it covered.
- Balancing the budget is your thing – estimating costs and managing the nitty-gritty details of contracts and documents.
- Teamwork makes the dream work – you’re always collaborating with different teams on a variety of projects.
- Building relationships is key – you’re the friendly face for clients and potential business leads, especially in Kelowna and British Columbia.
What we’re looking for:
- A bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture, urban design, or related field.
- Eligible to be registered with BCSLA or AALA (stamp preferred).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, and/or 3D modeling skills.
- You thrive in multidiscipline environments and have a passion for sustainability.
- Ability to convey ideas graphically through hand-drawn sketches.
- Valid BC driver’s license.
Compensation Range: $82,000 – $105,000

PROJECT COORDINATOR
The day to day:
- Designing stuff like water supply systems, sewers, and stormwater systems – you know, the nitty-gritty of how everything flows and works.
- Handling everything from the big picture to the tiny details – linear works, valves chambers, pump stations – you name it.
- Getting your hands dirty with construction services – checking out sites, making sure everything’s going according to plan, and managing contracts. And yeah, there might be some travel involved.
- Being the go-to person for clients – you’re the one they can count on.
- Pitching in on proposals and business development is part of the game – you’re not just about planning, you’re about making things happen.
- Using your creativity and wizardry with Civil 3D for all the drafting – making those designs come to life on the screen.
- Showing up in design meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors – making sure everyone’s on the same page.
- Putting your thoughts on paper – writing design reports that tell the story of how things are going down.
- Going on site to check things out – being the eyes and ears where the action is.
- And, of course, whatever else comes your way – because in this gig, you’re ready for anything.
What we’re looking for:
- An undergraduate degree in civil engineering or related field.
- Eligible to be registered with EGBC.
- A passion for proposal writing, business development, and maintaining client relationships.
- Land development experience is a plus.
- Valid BC driver’s license.
Compensation Range: $66,500 – $87,000

CIVIL ENGINEER
The day to day:
- You’re all about diving into projects with energy and excitement, making things happen.
- You get along with everyone, no matter where they fall on the org chart.
- You’re the point person for talking to clients, contractors, and the public about different projects.
- You’re the brains behind the design of stuff like roads, sewer systems, and water networks for land development.
- You keep the team on the same page, making sure projects in construction stay on track.
- You’re there from the beginning to the end of a project, creating reports, drawings, and documents.
- You keep learning and improving, making sure your engineering projects are top-notch.
- You make sure our solutions work for all kinds of clients, from private companies to government folks.
- You’re a whiz with computers, especially Microsoft Office, and you know your way around AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil3D.
- Deadlines are your thing and you’re all about the details, making sure everything is just right.
- And, of course, you’re up for whatever other tasks come your way.
What we’re looking for:
- Education as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.).
- Must be registered or be eligible to be registered with EGBC.
- Experience in business development and maintaining client relationships.
- Land development experience is a plus.
- Valid BC driver’s license.
Compensation Range: $87,000 – $150,000

CIVIL DESIGN TECHNICIAN
The day to day:
- Sketching out project ideas and turning them into detailed construction drawings.
- Teamwork is the name of the game – coordinating with design team to make sure everything fits together like a puzzle.
- Jumping into the design process with both feet – giving your two cents and making things better.
- Always sharpening your drafting skills – because there’s always room for improvement.
- Keeping a close eye on drawings to make sure they’re up to snuff with the client’s standards.
- Being the link in a multi-disciplinary team – making sure everyone’s in sync.
- Getting hands-on with AutoCAD and Civil 3D to bring those drawings to life.
- Figuring out how much stuff you need for a project – you know, the nitty-gritty details.
- Sometimes, you’re out in the field – checking out how things are going down on site and seeing progress.
- Passing on your wisdom to the newbies – mentoring and coaching the junior drafting crew.
What we are looking for:
- Diploma in civil engineering technology or related field.
- Eligible to be registered with ASTTBC.
- Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- String attention to detail.
- Land development experience is a plus.
- Valid BC driver’s license.
CIVIL DESIGNER TECHNICIAN
Compensation Range: $55,000 – $85,000

URBAN PLANNER
The day to day:
- Brainstorming with the team to shape the vision and goals of a project.
- Getting creative with the team – coming up with fun and engaging ways to involve the community.
- Sketching out urban designs and cool spaces – bringing ideas to life on paper.
- Mapping out plans for parks, buildings, and getting people around – from simple projects to complex ones.
- Adding those special touches that make a project stand out – whether it’s a cool park bench or a funky building design.
- Drawing diagrams and sketches to help folks visualize what the project will look like.
- Painting a picture of what it’s like to be in the project – showing off its vibe and unique features.
- Crafting stories that capture the essence of the project and what makes it special.
- Putting together presentations and reports that tell the project’s story.
- Being part of project meetings, checking out sites, and being the design voice in the room.
- Digging into the data to understand what makes a project tick.
- Working with the bigwigs to make sure our proposals shine and supporting our marketing efforts.

What we are looking for:
- University degree in Architecture, Urban Design, or Urban Planning.
- Proven experience in placemaking, urban design or related fields, and working with an inter-disciplinary team.
- Experience with both public and private sector clients.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Revit, Rhino, SketchUp and/or 3D modeling skills for developing complex urban design concepts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, preparation of reports and developing design narratives.
Compensation Range: $80,000 – $117,000
